It wasn’t until the fourth round when Lemos finally started coming alive with her striking arsenal as Zhang starting to slow down, which prevented her from really using her wrestling again. That said, Lemos still wasn’t doing enough to really back Zhang off and time was running out on any potential comeback.
No object screams “Mike Tyson” more than a pair of classic boxing gloves. They’re not only symbolic of his profession but also represent the sport of boxing as a whole. Incorporating boxing gloves into your tattoo can be a straightforward tribute, or you can get creative by personalizing the gloves with intricate designs, text, or even integrating elements of your own life story, such as dates of personal victories or challenges overcome.
Zhang has had no such world honours in his career, waiting until 2014 to turn pro and only competing in his first twelve rounder last year. That was a contentious loss to Filip Hrgovic, from which he’s bounced back with the Joyce wins.

The Mike Tyson tattoo has inspired countless fans to create their own tattoos, honoring their idol and the impact he has had on their lives. Tyson’s influence extends far beyond the ring, from boxing fans to tattoo aficionados.
In 2015, Zhang was signed to Roc Nation Sports, which Dino Duva also joined as an employee and boxing executive. Roc Nation, a music promoter, entered the boxing market in August 2014 with money but no plan. David Itskowitch, Roc Nation’s founding chief operating officer of boxing, abruptly resigned in July 2016 and Duva’s influence grew after. Roc Nation’s boxing division was in quick decline from 2018, all but ceased working in 2019 and closed down in 2020.
So, despite the eyebrow-raising stunt, Jake Paul might have skirted legal trouble by keeping it temporary, tying it into his promotional antics, and removing it soon after the promo release. Since there hasn’t been a lawsuit slapped on him like Warner Bros., it seems his approach—temporary, promotional, and possibly transformative—might have helped him dodge a legal knockout
Round 4: Thus far the story of this fight has been the wrestling and leg kicks of Zhang. Namajunas is the better boxer, and the more dangerous striker but Zhang has studied well and she’s not letting Namajunas get into a great rhythm. Super close bout though.
Zhang faced Jéssica Andrade for the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship on August 31, 2019, at UFC Fight Night 157. She won the fight via first-round technical knockout to become the new strawweight champion, and the first UFC champion from China. The win also earned Zhang her first Performance of the Night bonus award.
It marks the latest in a long string of pre-fight taunts directed at Tyson. Last week, Paul shared a video (with the fake face tattoo) of himself biting a prosthetic ear, clipped together with images of a man with a bloodied ear. The video references Tyson’s infamous fight against Evander Holyfield in 1997, when the boxer bit off Holyfield’s ear. The move cost Tyson both the game and his boxing licence, though he was later reinstated.
On December 29, 2006, Tyson was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona, on suspicion of DUI and felony drug possession; he nearly crashed into a police SUV shortly after leaving a nightclub. According to a police probable-cause statement, filed in Maricopa County Superior Court, ” admitted to using today and stated he is an addict and has a problem.” Tyson pleaded not guilty on January 22, 2007, in Maricopa County Superior Court to felony drug possession and paraphernalia possession counts and two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of drugs. On February 8 he checked himself into an inpatient treatment program for “various addictions” while awaiting trial on the drug charges.
Tyson retired from professional boxing in 2005 due to a combination of physical decline, mental and emotional challenges, and financial troubles. After a series of losses that highlighted his decreasing ability to compete at a top level, Tyson acknowledged that he no longer had the heart to fight. His physical capabilities had diminished with age, and he struggled with motivation and focus, which were compounded by significant financial difficulties. These factors led him to conclude his 122 lb boxing division career after a defeat to Kevin McBride.
Mike Tyson’s “warrior” tattoo was inked by Las Vegas tattooist S. Victor Whitmill in 2003. From the time of Tyson’s firstpublic appearance with the tattoo, Maori activists and scholars were critical of it as a cultural appropriation of ta moko. Tyson’s tattoo is monochrome, curvilinear, features two spiral shapes, and was placed around his left eye. Whitmill has described the “flow”: of Maori art as a design influence, and he created it after showing Tyson pictures of Maori moko. In Maori culture, facial moko is a privilege reserved for respected cultural insiders, and it represents and embodies the wearer’s sacred genealogy and social status. Appropriating an individual’s moko is profoundly offensive and akin to identity theft.
